Business intelligence: daily figures instead of Excel lists.
Business intelligence means collecting data from ERP, CRM and Excel automatically and presenting it as dashboards. NAVAX delivers it with Microsoft Power BI, built around the KPIs you really need.

What is business intelligence?
Business intelligence (BI) covers the methods and tools a company uses to collect data from ERP, CRM and Excel, prepare it, analyze it and present it as dashboards. The goal is decisions based on current figures rather than gut feeling. NAVAX implements business intelligence with Microsoft Power BI.

Frequently asked questions about business intelligence.
What people often ask before a first conversation. If your question is missing, ask NAVAX directly.
What is meant by business intelligence?
Business intelligence covers the methods and tools companies use to collect, prepare, analyze and clearly present data. There are typically four steps: loading data from sources such as ERP and CRM (ETL), storing it centrally, for example in a data warehouse, analyzing it and presenting it in dashboards. The aim is the systematic analysis of company data for fact-based decisions.
What business intelligence solutions are there?
The best-known BI tools include Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik and SAP Analytics Cloud. NAVAX relies on Power BI because it connects directly to Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel and Microsoft 365, and many employees already know how to use it from everyday Office work.
What is the difference between business intelligence and business analytics?
Business intelligence shows what has happened and where your company stands today. Business analytics also asks why something happened and what comes next, for example with statistical models and forecasts. In practice, the two terms are often used together.
Does business intelligence make sense for small and mid-sized businesses?
Yes. Small and mid-sized companies in particular save a lot of time when reports are no longer built by hand in Excel. With prepared Power BI packages and standard connections, for example to Business Central, you do not need your own data department.
What does a business intelligence consultant do?
A BI consultant translates business questions into KPIs, connects data sources, builds the data model and dashboards and trains users. Because many KPIs come from ERP and CRM, it helps when the consultants also know these systems.
What are examples of business intelligence?
Typical examples are a liquidity dashboard for management, a sales report with revenue and contribution margin per customer, or an inventory analysis with stock levels and days on hand. In production, BI shows overall equipment effectiveness and scrap rate per line, for example.
Do I need a data warehouse for business intelligence?
Not necessarily. To get started, Power BI with a direct connection to your ERP is often enough. A data warehouse pays off once you connect many sources, analyze large data volumes or want to keep historical data long term, for example in Microsoft Fabric.
What does self-service BI mean?
Self-service BI means that departments create and adjust their own analyses without asking IT every time. It requires a clean data model with clearly defined KPIs. NAVAX builds that with you and trains your team to use it.
How can I test a business intelligence solution?
The fastest way is a Power BI demo from NAVAX, in which NAVAX shows you dashboards for your department. Microsoft also offers a time-limited trial of Power BI.
